Larry Caffrey, the Treasurer of ICA, has been an IT Professional since 1961, working in UK Central Government until his retirement in 1994. For many years he provided ICT consultancy to government departments and was Project Manager on a number of special projects including the development and implementation of project control methods (now known as PRINCE) throughout UK government. He also performed similar duties on a number of EC projects. Larry Caffrey’s introduction to ICA was at the 13th Conference in Bath UK in 1979. In 1991 he became the UK National Representative and served on the Programme committee until 1994 when he took up the post of ICA Treasurer and then the Editor/Secretary roles which he held until 2012. He has presented the Country Reports at Conference since 1996 and in 2009 was made a Life Member for services to ICA.
